My designs are very much influenced by my love of the countryside and nature. I work from home in my lovely little sewing room, surrounded by photos of my family, my radio, books and lots and lots of fabric and thread, oh, and lots of pencils and sketch books! My cats, Poppy and Charlie are never too far away, coming to help me when they think I need it!

I love to combine patchwork and embroidery, creating the little pictures in fabric and thread and making them into quilts. This inspired me to write how-to books, to help you create something wonderful for your home or a loved one. My first book – The Cottage Garden Quilt – was inspired by my garden, allotment and the surrounding countryside. One of my favourite places to be is the seaside and I couldn’t think of a better setting for my second book – The Seaside Quilt. Recently, I have been creating pincushion kits, which I’m very excited to be sharing with you. These beautiful kits contain everything you need to make your very own pincushion, including thread cards, full-colour how-to guides and even the fabric.

A ready-to-go kit packed with everything you need to make your very own pincushion

I’ve always wanted to make a kit that lets people create an amazing gift or treat for their home from one box. That’s why I created these wonderful pincushion kits. Each box is filled with everything you need to create your own pincushion, including full-colour how-to guides, thread cards and even the fabric and filling. All you require is a pair of scissors and some general sewing thread. There are three designs to choose from with four more in the works.
